After graduation, KJ worked as a member of the ASU College of Law's administrative staff, building from her previous local knowledge and institutional memory to develop stronger relationships between the law students and the community and tackling the practical execution of coordinating two new LL.M. and one new M.L.S. degree programs.

Prior to the creation of Granville Law, PLLC, Kari learned the legal ropes from notable lawyers such as Joan Jakel (business formation and small business solutions) and Adrian Fontes (criminal defense and public advocacy).  Both individuals helped to teach her the skills of drafting, negotiation, and litigation.  KJ has an enviable trial success record.

Currently, in her spare time, KJ enjoys dog agility training and competition.  In her younger years, Kari competed at the elite level in the sport of archery. She has been a member of the USA Archery Team and has represented the US at several World Championship events.  Kari has been named twice as USA Archery's "Shenk Award" winner (highest combined score from US Indoor, Field, and Target Nationals). KJ also coached the ASU archery team, is the former Chair of the USA Archery Board of Justice, is the former Chair of the College Archery Program of USA Archery, and has been a member of the USA Archery - Arizona Board of Directors.

Kolby's passions for life and education extend beyond the norm. He was a teacher in China, and a primary school teacher trainer in rural Mozambique through the Peace Corps. He was also an e-learning developer for a variety of Fortune 500 Companies and a corporate trainer for Aetna Financial Services.

With his diverse background and track record of success, Kolby is well-equipped to take on any new challenge and lead clients to success in a variety of roles.



Kari J Granville


 "KJ" Granville has had a wide variety of living, travel, and employment experience. 

 Kari came to Arizona on an archery scholarship with Arizona State University. A two-time All-American, 
 she left school to care for a family member, after which she traveled the world as a live stage production 
manager and lighting technician.  She returned to finish her Bachelor of Science in Political Science at ASU 
 in 2000.  KJ received her juris doctorate  from ASU in May of 2004 with the Dean's Award of Recognition, a Certificate in Law, Science, and Technology:  Intellectual Property, and the Highest Pro Bono Distinction.


Kolby Granville


As an accomplished attorney, entrepreneur, and educator, Kolby has developed a diverse skill set over his career that has enabled him to excel in a wide range of roles. With a B.A, M.Ed, and J.D., from Arizona State University, he has practiced law in both civil litigation and criminal defense, as well as serving as a City Council Member for the City of Tempe.

Kolby has founded and managed several successful businesses and non-profits, including After Dinner Conversation, Inc., Really Simple Reporting, LLC, Escape Narrative, LLC, and Tempe Ice Apparel, LLC. Additionally, as an instructor at Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, and the University of Phoenix, he has taught technology skills, legal ethics, and critical thinking and writing to undergraduate students. He has also taught American Humanities to high school students in the form of a primary documents focused curriculum utilizing Socratic dialogue.
